What is Useri trying to solve?
To put this into context, Over time the Agro sector in Nigeria has dilapidated greatly from unpredictable seasonal changes to unsteady economic infrastructure the list goes on. This led us to the question, of how can we mitigate these issues to help agricultural stakeholders that is Farmers and sellers maximize their profit whilst they focus on providing quality and healthy produce.

In order to solve the above problem through design I divided my process into 3:

The importance of User flow in this project
With a user flow, we were able to see how best to structure the journey of the user, to be easier and user-friendly, we sought to do away with unnecessary processes or steps and just kept it simple.
I led a lot of ideation sessions during this project, which led to the creation of wireframes. I used this to communicate with stakeholders and developers, to make sure everyone was on the same page.
The Goal & Opportunity
After having an onboarding conversation with stakeholders and team members, I was excited about the opportunity to create a solution that would solve a huge societal prob problem. As a team, we came up with simple yet heavy goals:
Solve the issue of inaccessibility to enough market
Seamless user experience.
Designing for the user in mind and creating an all-in-one experience from start to finish
Creating a component library
The creation of a component library was an opportunity to create clear consistency between design and development.

Faster development time on using the component library.

Key highlight
A simple dashboard focused on functionality rather than aesthetics
We focused on what was needed and how they could access necessary information faster. With the inclusion of a pop-up notification on existing transactions about a product.
Impact
This would make completing transactions easier
This would increase decision time for the users.
A well-detailed system to capture all necessary information about a farm produce.
Making payments user-friendly and secure
An eco-friendly marketplace, for easy accessibility
One issue that affected farmers and buyers was having access to large options of farm produce. So we made sure that this marketplace feature captured just enough information that the user needs.
Impact
Creates options for the buyer
It would increase fast decision-making
It creates accessibility as you can choose farms that are closer to you.
This will also increase customer satisfaction
Conclusion & Next Steps
This project took me out of my comfort zone as this was not a familiar product like a fintech. The ability to actually lead the design process from conceptualization to design gave me the opportunity to interact and work with a cross-functional team to achieve the goal.
An achievement working on this project, is the consistency between design and development, thanks to the creation of the component library.
Going forward, I would be looking to gather feedback and reviews that will help us improve the functionality and overall experience of the application
